Product Performance & Safety Disclaimer (last edited 22 March 2026)
Flight Series Eyewear sunglasses are designed to reduce glare and improve visual comfort using polarized lens technology. Certain models incorporate lens polarization that is intended to improve visibility of many digital displays, including some multifunction displays (MFDs). However, due to the inherent physics of polarized light and the varying polarization angles used by different electronic displays, screen clarity and visibility cannot be guaranteed in all situations or with all devices. Some screens, cockpit displays, dashboards, phones, tablets, or other digital instruments may appear dim, distorted, or partially obscured depending on viewing angle, lighting conditions, display type, or polarization orientation.
Flight Series Eyewear products are not certified aviation equipment and are not intended to replace or serve as required flight gear, safety equipment, or protective eyewear mandated by regulatory authorities. Users are responsible for verifying compatibility with their specific equipment and operational environment prior to use in aviation, driving, or other critical tasks.
References to “ballistics-rated,” “impact-resistant,” or similar terminology refer to internal design standards and material characteristics intended to improve durability. These terms do not guarantee protection from all impacts, debris, projectiles, or hazardous conditions, and the sunglasses should not be relied upon as primary safety or protective equipment unless explicitly certified to a recognized safety standard.
Claims such as “scratch-resistant,” “smudge-resistant,” or similar descriptions refer to protective coatings intended to improve durability under normal use. These coatings reduce the likelihood of scratches or smudging but do not make the lenses scratch-proof, smudge-proof, or damage-proof. Lenses may still scratch, chip, crack, or become damaged from contact with abrasive materials, improper cleaning, impact, or normal wear over time.
Flight Series Eyewear lenses are designed to provide UV protection intended to reduce exposure to ultraviolet radiation, but no sunglass lens can block 100% of all harmful light in every environment or condition. These products should not be relied upon as the sole method of eye protection in environments with intense or hazardous light exposure.
Improper use, modification, or failure to follow care instructions may reduce product performance. Flight Series Eyewear assumes no responsibility or liability for damages, injuries, or losses resulting from misuse, improper application, modification, or use of the product in environments for which it was not specifically designed or certified.
By purchasing or using Flight Series Eyewear products, the user acknowledges and accepts these limitations and assumes responsibility for determining whether the product is appropriate for their intended use.
